A book that belongs to everyone
When you give a book to a Mini-Library, you are not putting it away — you are setting it free. It moves from hand to hand, village to village, and every reader adds a line to its story. One book, read once, helps one person. The same book, kept moving, can reach a hundred.

Find the Mini-Library nearest you
Every Mini-Library has a short address built from its postal code — 691001a1 is the first one in that area, 691001a2 the next. Short enough to paint on a board, short enough to say over the phone.

Take a book and note its code
Inside the front cover, every book carries six characters like 7CH2N6. Write it in the register, or enter it here. That code stays with the book for life, wherever it travels.

Return it within seven days
Not finished? That is fine — leave it at the nearest Mini-Library and take it again from there. What matters is that the book keeps moving, so the next reader is not waiting on you.
Seven days, and no fines, ever. The week is a courtesy to the next reader, not a rule with a penalty behind it. Nobody is ever charged anything at a Mini-Library.

You can open one with a single book. A rack by your gate, your shop or your tuition centre, and a notebook. Word gets around quickly: neighbours bring the books they have finished, and within a month a village that had no library has one. Tell us where you are and we will help you begin.

You do not need a building, a budget or permission. You need one person willing to keep a rack where people already pass — and that person could be you.
Start with one book
Genuinely one. Once there is a Mini-Library with your name on the board, people bring books to it. Well-wishers in your own village will fill it faster than you expect, because everyone has books they will never read again.
You are building readers, not a book collection
A child who can walk to a book is a child who reads. That is the whole of it. Every Mini-Library that opens turns a village with nothing to read into a village with a reading community.
